Around a month ago now version 4.5 was released of this truly brilliant mod. Their own summary can be found here:I love the multiplayer on mount and blade, however aside from improving my combat skills my time was felt as if it was almost wasted without a sense of progression. Persistent World brings mount and blade into an open world, in a land where (player only) factions are in constant war over the castles. Gear, class and gold is kept on logout. You can expect at peak times over a weekend for multiple large factions to be at constant war. This can lead to a very enjoyable experience. When first reading about the mod I was told not to expect a helpful or friendly community. This can be the case if you do not know where to look.

I highly advise checking out a smaller server such as EU Genesis initially as it is more suited for learning. You will have plenty of time to join a larger faction in time however learning the rules is absolutely essential first. Make sure to both read the server rules on their website and also the rules displayed when you load in.I can only describe my experience so far in the EU based servers however I am told it is essentially the same elsewhere.EU Oasis: This server is for a confident player prepared to join a large faction which will be at war almost every night. Smaller factions and outlaws do exist but generally fade after a short time. Organised players using Teamspeak for efficient warfare are found here however this comes at the cost of all in game RP (if you like that).
If you are largely experienced in mount and blade multiplayer I would advise starting here and asking for help within one of the factions. Most players will be willing to help however the server can be a bit hostile at times. The website for the server is below. Here you can view the factions and their rosters however I would advise meeting them in game first and finding one which suits you.EU Genesis: Yesterday the new map on EU Genesis was introduced which I believe is perfect for newcomers. The initial spawn point is located just outside a castle which contains both the Town Watch and also The Merchants Guild.
These 2 factions are both neutral and take part in wars and therefore might be a good place to start when looking for advise. Faction alignment changes more frequently on this server, one day you get 5 smaller factions battling and a few days later you have 2/3 much larger factions. There are however still official factions which will be on certain days/nights.
The website for this server is also below.GOT PW: This was released recently and therefore I have not yet played it myself. I believe it has been received well so far, adding allot of content, but it is largely for experienced players. Not all roles within the mod require combat and can be changed. Note that you will change to the faction of the training that you use:Doctor: Massively sought after as the only alternative method of healing is using food and rest. You will be mostly left in peace as you either make your living or heal on behalf of your faction.Serf: Serfs are the gatherers of the game. They are essential as they provide food and other materials which restock the shops throughout the world.
A complete guide for this class below.Smiths/Engineers: The crafters of the game. They use materials gathered by the Serfs to create weapons, armour etc. They also repair broken doors/gates. The most useful crafting site below. If a life within a faction is not for you outlaws constantly move around the lands in packs robbing anything they can take. You will most likely encounter them anyway however they do have a hideout which can be found by word of mouth if you are interested in joining them. The players are what make this mod.

I was informed that the community was toxic however in the time that I have been playing I have met lots of helpful friendly players. Maybe the player base has changed over the years.
You might have issues befriending a long standing faction but their group have most likely played together for a long time by now. There are players I fight against most nights which there is no real hostility between, only mutual fun. Any player can gather the respect of the others and go a long way. Fl keys fl studio. Allot of kings are made this way.I tried to make this post as useful as possible as I believe it is a truly brilliant mod which would have a much larger player base if people fully understood it.
I first came across it at least a couple of years ago however gave up after 5 minutes (more then once). I hope to see some of you on there.
If you would like help getting started send me a private message on here. I will be happy to assist.Download link:. My experience is one of a player mostly playing with 3-4 friends, on the most populated server, being Oasis atm and as a whole, the most populated servers before that.PW was good when it was all about commoners, serfs and mercenaries. Now, it's all about factions, clans and 'bully groups'. Commoners sometimes don't even have classes and can't defend themselves against people who spent hours on the game farming gold. Buying it even on Oasis. They're grouped, one of them is bullying you then if you dare respond or if you don't comply, he's just assaulting you and all his little friends come and help.
Being a simple commoner is hard, even being a group is hard. That and the fact admins are reaaaaally biaised when it comes to punishing factions members made me quit.PW is also supposed to be a Role-Play mod. Yet this isn't enforced anywhere. People can read the floating name above your head, can know everything about you and remember things they're not supposed to after they died. I try Role-Playing sometimes, wether as a peasant, doctor or man of the church. It's just impossible and the admins aren't helping. I remember an Admin on Oasis telling me, word for word, that 'this server isnt rp'.
Then why the fuck should I play there? It's only good for clans. We tried Feudal World. It was very well done. The shop system, the RP was enforced, the Town Watch was the RP side of the Admins and it was running great. But the population declined very fast because not enough people were here for RP. They came from PW and wanted easy equipement, easy fights and war, war, war. There was no room for the commoner.
With the death of this mod, we had nowhere to really play as we wanted. Now comes GoT PW. It looks good for now, not many clans seems to have come to play here, there are commoner classes, some mechanics are interesting and crafting seems to be rather important and rewarding. We might play it more in the days to come.In the meantine, fuck clan and fuck Oasis. Long live commoners and Role-Play.
This has described my initial experience on Oasis very well. Its a shame other servers do not gain as much population.I have not tried Feudal World but have only heard good things. I believe there was another server alike this one. I'm pretty sure servers are empty nowadays however.EU Genesis is very suited to what you would like to play in its current state. Not all players enforce RP but it is present, prominently in large groups in towns mostly at weekends. The central castle is very well catered for commoners with guards from both the Town Watch and Merchants Guild who will always look to help you. The wars usually stay away from that castle however both of those guilds would shelter you if necessary.I've not looked at the GoT mod properly yet as I am largely enjoying Genesis at the moment however I do plan to do so.You should come try out the Genesis server I think you will like the admins a bit more.
PM if you are interested and i'l give you my in game name. I only tried this mod once, for a couple of hours. I wasn't really expecting a role play experience because I'm not really into that myself but I was enticed to the idea of castle vs castle, lord vs lord dynamic so I joined PW.
Everyone was either trying to troll you, kill you, bully you, rob you. It was then that I decided that peasant life was not for me. So I uninstalled the game and went back to playing regular Warband and Napoleonic Wars. I know i gave up too early. Maybe I should've joined a group first, maybe I should've played it with friends.
I'm still willing to try it again but I won't play it on my own without joining a group first or with friends.Edit- Ok, I got a friend I met on Napoleonic Wars who convinced me to try it again with him. I logged in, and within a minute, I got robbed and killed. Was ready to quit again when I met this guy who showed me around, and took time to explain to me the basic commands and even showed me how to play as a serf.
Now I'm addicted to harvesting wheat, baking bread, raising cattles, feeding cattles with wheats, slaughtering cattles for their meat and leather, selling produce for money. Thank you LampofTismirr for showing me that this game can be fun with friends. I don't really know what to expect but this game is really fun when played with a group. Look me up on EUPW, name is MorganTheFreeman.
Multiplayer Mount & BladeThis is the first part of our guide to. The new multiplayer modes in Mount & Blade: Warband have ramped up the medieval action by a few notches.
Now you can hack, slice, maim and stab up to 64 friends and strangers across 12 specially designed multiplayer maps in your choice of 7 multiplayer modes. In this M&B: Warband Multiplayer Guide we’ll run through the options and offer up a few hints and tips to get you started on the path to glory. Character and Server SetupIt seems a bit of a shame that you can’t just port your single player campaign character into the multiplayer side of the game. Sadly you have to start from scratch by choosing a name and faction. Next up is the same physical character creation tool you used in single player and finally you get to choose your banner. With the character created you are faced with two choices. Host a Game – Developer TaleWorlds has provided you with all the options you could want in terms of setting up a server. True crime streets of new york pc download.
You can make it private with a password, you can set the number of players, number of bots, decide on the factions, turn off friendly fire for melee or ranged separately, decide on the spectator camera, block mechanic, speed, time limit, targets for victory, equipment gold at start and earned through combat, whether to allow various types of polls and how they work, whether to allow private banners, respawn periods (if applicable), and finally whether to force minimum armor. If you are the host you can also access this screen in game by hitting ESC and choosing the Administrator Panel.Join a Game – If you choose to join an existing server you’ll be presented with a list and you can choose the mode you want to play and double click to join one. If you hover your mouse over an option you’ll see a full range of details about the rules on that server. Obviously the lower the ping, the better for you. Faction, Loadout and In Game Controls.
Once you actually join a game you’ll select a faction and a soldier type. You’ll then be provided with some gold to buy your gear. The default amount is 1,000 and you can kit yourself out with some weaponry and armour. The choices available to you are class based and will depend on the type of soldier you choose to be.
They’re basically split into cavalry, infantry and archer.Once you are in game you can hit TAB to bring up the scoreboard and see how you’re performing. You can also hit ESC to bring up your options. This is handy if you’re not clear on the game rules, want to change faction or feel like reassigning controls. Just remember the game is not paused and you can and will be chopped up while you are in this menu! Mount & Blade: Warband Multiplayer Modes. There are 7 multiplayer game modes in Mount & Blade: Warband and we’ll take a look at each one in turn. It is also worth mentioning before we start that some servers enforce their own rules beyond the basic modes.
For example many players like to duel in Deathmatch and they have a system of chivalric rules which involves greeting a player before you try to stab them in the face. If a player is engaged in a fight and you run up and stab them in the back you’re probably going to get kicked. Now let’s take a look at the Warband multiplayer modes in more detail. SiegeIt is a great shame that the objective based multiplayer modes in M&B: Warband are so unpopular but the reason is not difficult to fathom. The maps are not balanced and it makes modes like Siege a bit of a nightmare. The basic idea is to take it in turns to Attack and then Defend a castle.
The attacking force has a time limit to seize the castle and in general it is a little too easy for the defenders. It is tactically quite a fun mode. The ability to either raise ladders or rush the gate to lower the enemy flag is also great. Eset nod32 guncel key 2019. ConquestIn this mode you generally have a more open battlefield and the objective is to capture and hold a number of points marked by flags that you must raise. If you manage to capture them all, then the enemy can’t spawn in and you’ve won the round. Each team starts with points and when they hit zero they’ve lost.
The scattered capture points don’t make for the best gameplay and this is probably my least favourite mode. Capture the Flag. As you’d expect this is a team based mode where the objective is to capture your opponent’s flag.
Persistent World Moddb
The teams have a base with a flag each and you have to capture the enemy flag and carry it back to your base to score. The problem with this is balancing again and often one of the positions is easier to defend than the other which gives one team an advantage. If you get killed while carrying the flag the enemy only has to touch it and it will return to their base. For obvious reasons you can’t capture the flag while on horseback.
Fight & DestroyThis is an odd multiplayer mode where one team defends a couple of pieces of siege equipment (catapult and trebuchet) and the other team tries to smash them up. It takes ages to smash them up by hacking away and it isn’t a great deal of fun. You get a point for smashing something up and the defenders get a point for anything that survives. You can also win by just killing all the opponents because there is no respawning in this mode.
This is my favourite mode and it quite simply pitches two opposing forces against each other in a bloody battle to the death. What makes it more fun and more exciting than the other modes is the fact that you don’t respawn.
Mount And Blade Persistent World 4.5 1
If you are felled during battle then you are relegated to spectator. This is like a medieval version of Counter Strike and with good players it is action packed and addictive. The game can only be won by exterminating the enemy force completely. Team DeathmatchIf you don’t like to sit out any of the action then you might prefer this mode to Battle. It is a fight between two opposing forces but this time if you die you will respawn (the respawn time is a server setting). The winning team is the one with the most points (kills) when the time runs out or the first team to reach a point target.
The simplest of all the multiplayer modes is a chaotic free for all in which you must kill everyone else. If the map is too open or you spawn out in the field then you’ll be at the mercy of cavalry and archer units. This mode is too messy to be much fun and perhaps partly for that reason many servers have introduced their own rules about duelling.

Mount And Blade Persistent World 4.5
This reduces Deathmatch to a series of one on one duels where you introduce yourself by doing an overhead block and if the opponent accepts the challenge you fight to the death. There’s always a risk you’ll get stabbed in the back though and even though players will get kicked for breaking rules it can’t really be stopped from happening in the first place. That’s it for the multiplayer guide. If you have any questions or comments post away. This post is part of the series: Mount & Blade: Warband Guide.
