Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is the Spin-Off of the popular Baldur's Gate franchise. Besides the name, the only main element it shares with the originals is the setting. Unlike its namesakes, which were classic computer RPGs, Dark Alliance was an action adventure dungeon crawler game with a heavy focus on combat and co-op gameplay, drawing heavily from the style of the Gauntlet games and can. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 duplicates the original's role-playing action hack-and-slash gameplay with enhancements including additional character classes, more feats, and magical item creation.
It is the sequel to the 2001 game. The game is set in the of, and the gameplay is based on the rules of, which were released in 2000. Dark Alliance II is a direct sequel to the original Dark Alliance game, with the story following five adventurers attempting to save from a growing evil, and ascertain the fate of the protagonists from the first game.Dark Alliance II was well received on both platforms, although many critics felt it was not much of an advancement on the first game. A sequel was planned, but was cancelled early in development due to legal problems and the closure of Black Isle Studios after Interplay went.
The use of the also led to a lawsuit filed by the engine's creators, against publishers Interplay, which alleged the engine had been used in the game without Snowblind's permission. Gameplay in the PlayStation 2 version of Dark Alliance II, showing Ysuran fighting a two-headed. His and meters are at the top left of the screen. The green meter between them is his meter. The gold icon below indicates he has acquired enough experience to level up.Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II is a / presented in a, with a rotatable three-quarter.At the beginning of the game, are preset, with the player able to choose from five / combinations; a (Dorn Redbear), a (Vhaidra Uoswiir), a (Ysuran Auondril), a (Borador Goldhand) or a human (Allessia Faithhammer).
The player can customize their character's stats through gaining from defeating enemies. Every time the character increases in level, points are awarded corresponding to that level; i.e.
If a character increases to level twelve, the player will gain twelve experience points to spend on the character's spells and feats. For every four levels which the character increases, the player is given one ability point to spend on one of the six core (strength, intelligence, wisdom, dexterity, constitution, charisma). Each of the five characters have their own unique fighting style and their own specific set of spells and feats. Gameplay strategy is thus different for each character.
Dorn is a Barbarian, and his feats tend to focus on increasing his brute strength and ability to resist damage, as well as granting him powerful abilities to aid in melee combat, such as the ability to wield two-handed weapons in each hand. Vhaidra relies on unarmed combat, so her feats tend to focus on increasing her speed and, as well as granting her close-range abilities, such as pushing enemies away from her. As Ysuran is a necromancer, his feats tend to focus on increasing the power of his magic and granting him new spells, such as the ability to use shadow magic.

Borador tends more towards archery, but is also capable of melee combat. His spells tend to focus on allowing him to use a shield offensively, and granting him the ability to set traps for enemies and disarm traps intended for the player. Allessia is a cleric and has access to many healing and defensive spells. She can also use melee combat. Later in the game she gains the ability to reanimate the, and have them fight alongside her.Gameplay is semi-linear; most of the main can be performed in different orders, but only from within a group of given quests. For example, in Act I, the player can choose to tackle a series of kidnappings or investigate a spate of murders, but no other main quests are made available until both quests are complete.
There are also optional, which do not have to be completed immediately. There are more than in the first game, and the player can interact with many of them. Depending on which character the player is using, these NPCs may or may not provide information and assistance. Weapons, armor and items are only available for purchase from one location throughout the game, a shop in, although the stock changes at the commencement of each act, with the weapons increasing in expense and power. The features the option to use either a transparent map that covers most of the screen, or a, with the player also given the option to turn the map off entirely. The game also features with another player. Both players share the same screen, and are thus limited in how far they can move away from one another. In co-op mode, both players get 50% of the experience for each kill, no matter which player makes the kill.
Additionally, unlike in the original game, all treasure is shared 50/50 between both players, irrespective of which player collects it.A new feature in Dark Alliance II gives players the ability to create custom weapons and armor. Players can improve items by using and gems. Portal gun game friv. To increase the strength of an item, at least one runestone must be used. Gems are optional, although adding gems increases the strength further and enhances certain of the items' attributes.
The player cannot place more gems on an item than runestones; if the player wishes to place four gems, they must have a minimum of four runestones attached. Each item can have two different types of gem attached at any one time, in addition to the required runestones. There are several different kinds of gem and each has a different effect on different types of item.
For example, a attached to a piece of armor gives +1 additional treasure drop, attached to a weapon gives +1 'Improved Critical', and attached to a trinket gives +1 Wisdom. The game contains four difficulty levels; 'Easy', 'Normal', 'Hard' and 'Extreme'. Extreme is unlocked once the player has completed any of the other three levels.
Extreme mode takes the form of a, and can only be played by importing a saved character from another game. The game also contains two secret characters;. Drizzt becomes available to use in the main game upon beating any difficulty level. Artemis is unlocked upon defeating Extreme. Retrieved March 25, 2015. Retrieved March 25, 2015. If you've discovered a cheat you'd like to add to the page, or have a correction, please.Hint - Item Carry Over This exploit does work for NON-EXTREME mode, but not for Extreme mode. You go into any game (this can be at any point) and recall to Baldur's Gate. This is not completely neccessary but you don't want to be attacked half-way through. You then import a new character to player 2.
Wait for the player to be brought in and then delete your original character. The new character will move to player one. Then import the character you want into player 2. They should have all the items. Just delete player one once you've done this and enjoy the game!!!Note: If this is a two player game then go onto the hard game first. Give all of one of the players items to one player and save again. Make sure this is the player you import first so has both of the players items.
Import the other character as you usaully would and give him back all his items.Submitted by murray340Correction by AmKindaPizzed (fuzzypaintbrush) Weight Loss If you've been adventuring for even a short amount of time, you've probably racked up enough Rejuvination and Health potions to club a possessed rat to death. Well, if you play Ysuran, you should obtain his Alchemical Lore spell. Besides being very practical, changing potions from one type tp the other, it also has a very hidden use. A healing potion weighs half a rejuvination potion. If you've picked twenty rejuvination potions and you turn them all into healing potions, you've saved a respectable ten pounds.Extreme Mode To unlock Extreme Mode, beat the game once. Extreme Mode requires a saved character to play.Play as Drizzt and Artemis To unlock Drizzt, beat the game on any difficulty. To unlock Artemis the Human, complete the game on Extreme Difficulty and start a new game.
Move the cursor to Alessia Faithhammer and then press DOWN once for Drizzt and DOWN, DOWN for Artemis.Purchase loads of EXP You'll want to have a lot of gold before giving this one a shot. When you talk to Omiduil he will tell you about your past and you will get experience each time you do so. What you do need to do is save your game twice, once before you talk to him and once after you talk to him. Load the game where you haven't talked to him, and import your character from the game where you have talked to him. Repeat process of paying gold for EXP points. This will also work with the Cleric when she talks to the priest of helm.Gather An Army You can temporarily create a small squad of skeletons with the Necromancer, if you're willing to do some work.
After summoning a skeleton, save the game. Immediately load that save game (the skeleton will be there) but you may summon another skeleton. Again, save and load the game to summon yet another skeleton. You may do this until you've got number of helpers needed.Duplicate Items Start a new game with a character, earn some money, gems, armor, or whatever.
Then save, start another new game with a different character and save the second character in a different slot. Load the save with the character you want to play as, and then import the second character as Player 2.
Have Player 1 drop everything you want to duplicate. Player 2 picks it up. Then remove Player 1 and save with Player 2 in the second save slot. Reload Player 1's save. You still have all the items. Import player 2 from save 2, have Player 2 drop all the items picked up the first time.
Player 1 picks them up, then remove Player 2 and re- import Player 2 as often as you want.Level-Up Hold L1 + R1 + TRIANGLE + SQAURE + CIRCLE + X, Press L2.Cheat Menu Hold L1 + R1 + TRIANGLE + SQAURE + CIRCLE + X, START to unlock the Invulnerabilty and Level Warp menu.

Page Tools.Walkthrough: Act IV Act IVOmduil's Manor At Omduil's Manor, talk to Jherek and he'll ask you if you're ready to storm the Keep of Pale Night. If you are, off you go!Battle of Bones I In order to reach the Keep of Pale Night, you must survive the Battle of Bones. Fortunately, Jherek and Kharne will accompany you, and actually give you a good deal of help. This area is mainly filled with specters and ghouls. Move up the western path and kill the ghosties.
Soon, you'll reach a Save Point. From here, the path leads further west, and you'll come into contact with a group of skeletons. Remember, blunt weapons work best against their dry bones.Keep moving forward, taking down the skeletons that sprout from the dirt. They tend to swarm, so stay on your toes, and don't allow yourself to get surrounded. When they die, be sure to search the nooks and crannies of this passage for some nice treasure. Continue further, following the path until you reach another Save Point.
Use it and move on to reach a large plateau area. Put down the skeleton uprising here and move east down the wide path.Near another Save Point is a small southern area with treasure and a weapon rack. Search it and save, and continue to the east. There is plenty of treasure where the path bends, so grab it and continue up the north plateau, putting down the skeleton force that stands in your way. There is a lot of hacking in between, but eventually you'll reach yet another Save Point.
Nearby (further north), you'll get even more quality treasure.Follow the path as it bends west. From here on out, it is simply a long series of battles with skeletons and ghouls as you battle to the final Save Point. Be sure to check each chest and weapon rack for quality gear-this dungeon is stocked with it!
When you're through, head toward the Keep of Pale Night.Battle of Bones II Psyche! The Keep will have to wait one hot minute longer.
The beginning of this level is another battle through hordes of undead. Keep an eye out for magic items in the weapons racks here. Not only are they perhaps useful, but they fetch a pretty coin from the trader (and can be broken down in the workshop). As you move forward, you'll trigger a nasty fight with the Nightwalker. Make sure you clear as many foes as possible before taking him on, to make the battle a little easier on yourself.Boss: The Nightwalker The Nightwalker's primary means of attack is by attempting to poison you. When he rears back and his arms glow purple, that's what he's up to.
Obviously, try to run away from this attack. As long as the skeletons are gone, you can often get the Nightwalker to concentrate on one of the other party members, which means you can scoot around behind and get some good hits in. Watch out for him turning, though, and rotate as he does. Keep hacking and don't get in front of him, and this fight should end quickly. When it does, head across the bridge nearby.
Search the east and west lobes of this area for weapons and treasure. Head forward to the northern keep and enter the central door.Keep of Pale Night I Use the Save Point inside the Keep. On the first floor of this keep, you'll run into some nasty wraiths. These puppies are quite resilient, so make sure you use your full force of three (or more) to drop each one. Focused attacks work best.Go north and descend a couple sets of stairs, killing all the way.
Keep moving north down the long, wide hall. At the end of it, you will find an organ. Playing the organ will make treasure appear in the room. It will also make a lot of enemies appear. Make your way quickly around the perimeter of the room and grab the goodies from each of the little coves along the wall. When the room is looted, concentrate on killing all of the enemies inside. When you're done, head through the northwest doorway.
Move along the diagonal hallway, battling wraiths and making sure to bash the casks to find treasure and potions. This dumps into a longish room that stretches west. There is a circular room to the north that contains treasure (at the far end).
Search it and return to the previous room. The chamber will bend to the south, where you'll find a set of stairs. Go up them and use the Save Point at the top.Step through the archway and move south, along one of the walkways above the floor below. The path will move diagonally in a southeast direction.
![Balders Balders](https://r.mprd.se/media/images/66089-Baldurs_Gate_Dark_Alliance-4.jpg)
Follow it and battle the wraiths that rush you. The path will dump into a squarish area and lead off to the west. Continue until you reach a walkway that traverses the next room.Although you can go down, don't do it right now.
Head all the way across and explore the path that leads southwest. This will take you to the entrance of the Keep of Pale Night Dungeons.Keep of Pale Night Dungeons The dungeons are similar to the trap room from Lyran's Hold, but a lot bigger. Use the Save Point, then follow the path south to the main chamber. This enormous room is littered with traps. The idea here is to locate five levers scattered throughout it while battling skeletons, wraiths and wights. You'll be alone for this assignment, so it's a little tougher than the floor above. In addition to plenty of enemies, the main things to watch out for are fireball columns. Be sure that you look both ways before crossing the room, and take it slow.
You may even want to tease some of the undead enemies back to the starting hallway so you can kill them without running the risk of egregious bodily harm. There is a central room in this dungeon, and fireball traps spaced all around it. Work your way straight up the middle (heading south) right off the bat to find the first lever.
Then move to the middle of the path on the northwest corner to find another lever next to a fire trap. From here, head east (back past the first lever), and bend around the corner to the south to find another in the middle of the path. Head into the southeast corner of the map to find the next lever, which is near an open casket. Now head toward the center room and explore the inlet which leads to a locked door to find the last lever. Upon flipping it, the prison door nearby will open.
Inside are the heroes of the original game. Rescue each of them, and one will send you on a quest to find a magical weapon somewhere in the dungeon.Make sure you grab all the treasure from this room, use the Save Point, and exit the area. Check out the empty sarcophagi in the room to locate the magical weapon alluded to when you rescue the original heroes.
When you are done with this room, head back up to the Keep.Keep of Pale Night I Return to the room with the walkway. From here, you can head down the stairs and explore the lower area for treasure. There is also a wide path that leads to the north (you'll need to scale another stair set to get there), and eventually to the upper levels of the Keep. Battle through the hallway until you reach a rectangular path. On the backside of this, you'll find a Save Point, and the stairs to the next level.Keep of Pale Night II At this point, you'll lose Jherek. It's just you and Kharne on the next level up. Use the Save Point and follow the corridor east.
Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2 Pc Download
Here you'll be introduced to the mummy-type enemy. Use fire against these cats, as they are wrapped in fabric. Watch out for their poison attacks as well, and try to hit them at range if possible.Head forward to the east and go down the stairs to the lower portion of the room. Clear it of mummies and wraiths and head north (as you cannot reach the raised portion of the room, where you can see a Save Point. There is a Save Point in the north hallway as well, so use that. From here, you can head either north or west. Go west and up the stairs at the end of the hallway to get treasure. Return to the save point and go north.
In the next large chamber, explore the lower area for treasure, and head to the back of the room to get up on the higher raised portion here. Collect the treasure up top, then return below and go up the stairs on the east side of the room to get to this platform. Follow the walkway out of the room to the east.Continue down this wide path as it turns into a large rectangular roundabout, with paths branching to the east (down a stair set) and to the south. The eastern path leads down to another organ room.
Don't bother with it, though, as it's a trap. The southern path leads back to the higher portion of one of the earlier rooms (to the high Save Point). In the same area as the save point is the stairway to Mordoc's Sanctuary.Mordoc's Sanctuary Kharne will not accompany you up to the sanctuary. The only thing up here is a boss fight, and of course he wouldn't be of any use to you in one of those Boss: Mordoc SeLanmere Mordoc, as all fashionable bosses do, comes to play with a whole bevy of pals, including a couple of Nightwalkers.
SeLanmere himself likes to move around a lot, mainly by teleporting, but sometimes by turning into a swarm of bats. This fight is easier with a friend who can take on the Nightwalkers. If you don't have someone to distract them, they'll dog you around the level, poisoning and paralyzing you. Try your best to avoid paralysis, as this makes you an easy target for Mordoc's close range attacks.Keep your distance and try to whittle him down with ranged magic attacks.
Things like Flame Arrows, Flame Strike and Hail of Bolts are helpful in this fight, as they allow you to stay on the move and maximize damage from afar. If you have no ranged attacks, wait for Mordoc to appear, then get in close and hack viciously at him, keeping your finger on the heal button.Even from a distance, you'll need to keep your eyes peeled, because Mordoc can cover a lot of ground in an instant. Watch out for his snaking shadow missiles and paralysis spells of his own. Be patient and heal often, and don't get too greedy. If you're getting dinged up, run away. When all of his health is chiseled away, the defeated vampire will turn into mist and flee.
However, he has grander plans. He magically transports the Onyx Tower to Baldur's Gate now renamed Mordoc's Gate.Mordoc's Gate I Baldur's Gate ain't what it used to be. The townspeople have been turned to zombies and most of the city has been set aflame. Use the nearby Save Point and chat with Bartley, who will tell you the grisly tale. Then he'll ask if you need any last minutes items from his stash. Grab any armor or weapons upgrades you can manage, and be sure to outfit yourself with plenty of potions.
When you're geared up, leap up and over the flaming wall of crates blocking the path. Start hacking (or merely running) through Mordoc's Gate.Don't bother trying to visit any of the landmarks you remember-they're all boarded up with crates.
Just head north down the main street and make your way toward what used to be Bloodmire Manor. Near the entrance to it, you'll meet Randalla.
Speak to her and she'll take you to the base of the tower.Mordoc's Gate II As you move forward here, you'll learn that Randalla's gone vampire on you. Guess you're going to have to end her.Boss: Randalla Randalla is nasty at close range with melee attacks, so try not too get in tight with her unless you are a skilled melee fighter with the ability to block.
If you are, you can do a block then strike approach here. Otherwise, try to stay on the run and pelt her from afar with ranged and magic attacks. If you have a buddy, or can summon a helper, let Randalla focus on that person (if another player, have them simply block and heal) while you run around behind and slash her while she's busy. This is the easiest and most surefire way to drop her quick.
Otherwise, you'll be dancing and avoiding her swipes for a long time until the fight concludes. Once she dies, enter the Onyx Tower at the rear of the area.Onyx Tower I Those who played the original Baldur's Gate will recognize some of the foes from the Onyx Tower. In addition to the fire-breathing imps who chase you everywhere, there are large golden metal giants abounding. Get too close and they'll spray you with poison gas and who wants that? The first floor of the tower is symmetrical. Heading north, you'll find a large pool of water. You can cruise right through this and make your way for a Save Point at the rear of the water, or you can explore one of the paths on either side of the water, which is where you'll eventually need to be anyway. At every turn, there are difficult enemies on this level. Be sure you stay healthy, and remember you can Recall out at any time to pick up more potions if things get ultra-rough.
If you don't feel like fighting every last enemy, you don't have to just be on the look out for the deadly dart traps in the southwest and southeast corners of the tower, and be sure to follow the automap in the corner of the screen to tell how to get to the northmost room. That is where you'll find the stairs up to the next level (as well as a Save Point, if you need it).Onyx Tower II The next level is more of the same. When you first arrive, head forward to the Save Point if you need to.
If looking for treasure (and a lot of fightin'), move through the western door and fight back to the weapons racks. Otherwise, go down the east path. There's some nice booty waiting in the side rooms of this path, but you'll have to fight the large metal giants in order to get it.Watch the fire traps as you make your way north through the next hallway and chamber.
Step through the doorway to the west and use the Save Point beyond. Clear this room of powerful foes and continue north to Level III. Again, there is no shame in simply running through this level. If you want to preserve potions (and sanity), this is often the best tactic.Onyx Tower III This level is the nastiest yet, with tons of imps and metal badasses stuffing every square inch of the level. The large metal Trojan warriors are really tough, so don't feel bashful about turning tail and running. If you do choose to face them, make sure you stay on the move and don't get cornered. If you're not looking for treasure, keep clear of the eastern path, as that's all there is. Use the Save Point in the lobby and head down the west path.
You can go all the way to the end of it to grab loot or you can simply duck through the doorway that opens to the east (it's directly across from the fire trap). From here, follow the northern path to another Save Point and more treasure. Move forward to go up the steps to the top of the tower.Mordoc's Watch Before you can fight Mordoc, you have to fight his lapdog Xanhast. Kill him dead.Boss: Xanhast Xanhast plays like a souped-up Randalla, with one key exception.
Throughout the fight, he will sap your energy vampire-style from across the arena. It is very difficult to get a leg up in this fight but one thing is certain. Bring a lot of potions with you, or you won't make it.When he pauses and blocks and red energy appears around him, he is sapping your life. Move in close and hack at him as he does, and be sure to heal at the same time. Be careful to avoid his fiery blade attack when in close, though, as this is extremely powerful, especially on the third swipe. Also be careful that you avoid his paralysis attack. If he gets you immobilized, keep a finger on the health at all time in order to quickly heal.Honestly, the best way to beat this chump is to sit right next to him the entire fight and block his attacks.
When he lets a barrage go, wait it out. Then drop your guard and counter. This works best as a two-player fight, though, where one person can always block and the other can sneak around and drop him from behind. Sims 4 make objects bigger cheat. As a single player fight, this is a very long one.
But be patient and disciplined and you will prevail. However, if playing as Ysuran (or if he is in your party), there is an easy way to take this guy down. First, summon an undead helper (presumably maxed-out).
As the boss hacks at him, keep your distance and use your maxed-out Enervation to easily sap Xanhast's life. When Xanhast does go down, you'll get 10,000 experience. You'll also gain access to the final level of the game. Return to Onyx Tower III and save, then go back up top and head to the next staircase to enter the Plane of Shadow.Plane of Shadow The Plane of Shadow is home to Mordoc, and this is where the final showdown will occur.Boss: Mordoc SeLanmere All of Mordoc's previous attacks will be on display here-the shadow missiles, the close-up concussive attacks, and the ability to split into a swarm of bats. In addition, this time around, he will split into two beings-a black and a white, and attack as both. Beat the bats back, and stay away from close contact with Mordoc when he's swinging his sword, or making a stabbing motion. The block button will stave off most attacks, but you can't rely on it to block everything.
For instance, if he lets loose with the shadow attack, if you are stuck in one of the death rays, your health bar will wither fast. If you stay in the ray of smoke, you will not be able to quaff potions fast enough to keep up with the damage. Therefore, make sure the smoke does not hit you!On the offensive side of things, stay on the move, as always. Keep a large stash of healing potions handy as well. You won't need money beyond this point, so you might as well load up with as many as you can carry. This battle, as most, is much easier with two players.
As such one player can keep him distracted by simply blocking in front of him, and backing off when he casts a shadow missile attack. This is a good job for the melee oriented player, because in between blocking, you can hack at Mordoc. In fact, this kind of tactic is what players like the barbarian will have to do during the course of this fight in order to triumph.Players with good ranged attacks (like Borador), or good magic attacks (like Ysuran) will want to stay on the move and pepper him with attacks while dodging his. Ysuran's tactic from the Xanhast fight will work here, so employ it if playing as him. If you can summon a creature, this is quite helpful during the battle simply to draw Mordoc's fire.Throughout the course of the fight, Mordoc will heal a lot, and his healing adds 450+ HP each time, making this a long fight, indeed. Stay in his face (by attacking at every moment) as much as possible in order to keep the stream of damage going. When you finally kill the man, shatter the onyx heart at the center of the arena to finish things up. Return to Baldur's Gate and talk to Randalla, and then sit back and enjoy the final cut scene.
Congratulations, adventurer!
